In March of 2021, my brother, my good friend from college, and my 10-month-old Australian Shepherd and I went on a 3 day, 28-mile hike along the Appalachian Trail. A few days later, with tired legs and a belly grateful to be eating real food again, I decided to make this little animation on camping. There’s not a ton going on here, but I really wanted to take it as an opportunity to mess with my illustration skills, specifically with texturing brushes in photoshop. I love and am a lot more comfortable working in the abstract motion graphic style so this was a great challenge to work in a more illustrated real environment.
